Fuel Prices Set to Rise Again as Oil Costs Climb

by Yuki

Motorists will face another round of fuel price hikes this week as several oil companies announced increases due to rising international costs.

Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT, Seaoil, and Shell each confirmed that gasoline prices would rise by 1.35 pesos per liter starting Tuesday, April 30. Diesel prices will also increase by the same amount. Additionally, Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will raise kerosene prices by 0.80 pesos per liter.

This marks the second consecutive week of price hikes for consumers.

The U.S. Department of Energy attributed the price adjustments to new sanctions on Iran’s oil transportation network, which have tightened global supplies and raised concerns about fuel availability, contributing to the price increase.
