Dnipropetrovsk Oblast experienced additional assaults; a 36-year-old man was injured by drones in Synelnykove district, while a 76-year-old woman was wounded in Nikopol district and required hospitalization. Odesa Oblast was not spared either: overnight drone strikes injured one person with shrapnel in the southern region, Governor Oleh Kiper reported. These incidents underscore the widespread reach of Russian offensive operations across Ukraine’s territory.
Ukraine’s Air Defense Responds to Intensified Drone Assaults
Ukraine’s air defense systems remain active in intercepting Russia’s escalating use of drones. During the latest wave of attacks, Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted 53 out of 119 Shahed-type attack drones and decoys launched by Russia overnight. This figure includes approximately 1,020 casualties sustained by Russian forces over just the past day.
In addition to personnel losses, Russia has suffered extensive equipment attrition. The report states that since the beginning of hostilities, Russia has lost 23,553 armored fighting vehicles (an increase of one unit), 67,036 vehicles and fuel tanks (up by seventy-nine), 34,366 artillery systems (seventeen more than previously reported), 1,539 multiple rocket launchers (one additional unit), and 79,642 drones (a rise of two hundred seventeen units).
